Katie Balash, President and Director of Operations at Vaughan Industries, Inc.
Katie Balash’s parents founded Vaughan Industries and she joined the family business when her mother retired in 2010. 12 years later, Katie heads the company as President and Director of Operations and is known as one of the top women in the carwash industry. She has been a vocal advocate for Women-Owned Businesses and works hard to ensure that everyone at Vaughan Industries feels valued and respected.
Cheryl Dobie, Owner and Chief Executive Manager at Aerodry Systems LLC
Cheryl entered the industry with her husband in Odessa, Texas after purchasing a full-service carwash. They later sold the carwash and moved to Denver where they purchased a then bankrupt equipment manufacturer. They turned that business into a success and were acquired by Precision Tune. She and her husband returned to the car wash industry as Aerodry Systems LLC, a certified woman-owned business. In all, Cheryl has been in the car wash business for over 40 years, and her knowledge and experience make her an invaluable asset to Aerodry Systems. She is known as a master of efficiency and is always innovating new solutions to tackle complex problems.
Juliette Silver, CEO at Car Wash World and Usatowel.com
Juliette is a true visionary in the car wash industry and has always held her own in this industry. “The presence of women in the industry has definitely increased over the past 35 years that I have been in the business,” says Silver in a recent online interview with Carwash.com. “Any female in a male-dominated industry has to be knowledgeable and confident in order to earn the respect of her peers. Believing in what you are selling and having a great understanding of your product is important in this business,” continues Silver. Indeed, she knows her stuff and has been dedicated to helping women, and men, succeed in all aspects of the carwash industry.
