2022 St. Jude Partnership
OUR THREE PILLARS
With our three main pillars being Technology, Environment, and Community; it’s only appropriate that we also give back. We prioritize:
- Fundraising for local and national organizations
- Teaming up with local and national charities
- Attending community events
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission is to provide free care to children who have been diagnosed with Cancer and other life-threatening diseases as well as to search for a cure to eliminate childhood cancer. With how important this mission is to our community, we believed it was the perfect opportunity to partner with St. Jude and raise money for their cause through our express car wash as well as participate in the St. Jude Walk.
Leading Up to the Event
WOW Carwash is proud to have participated in the St. Jude Walk. In 2022, we raised $11,000 for St. Jude and we walked 10,035,156 steps at the walk/run and through the virtual steps app. We raised money through:
- Team Member donations
- Social Media posts
- A portion of single wash sales purchased by Guests
Thanks to the hard work of our Team Members and the generosity of our Guests donating at our express car wash, we were able to raise this money to support the mission of St. Jude. We are proud to be able to help such an amazing organization that is doing groundbreaking work to find cures for childhood cancer and other diseases.
During the Event
This year, we had 20 Team Members participate in the walk. At the event, there was a wide variety of activities and opportunities to learn more about the work that St. Jude does. There were multiple tents set up, each with different activities such as:
- A breakfast tent
- A stage playing music
- Family-friendly activities such as a coloring station
- Area for vendors
Before the starting ceremonies, numerous speakers had the chance to talk about how St. Jude has positively affected their lives and how childhood cancer has affected their families. After listening to all of these stories, everyone felt that their efforts and donations made a difference for these families and helped to relieve the stress and pain that they go through. It was a moving experience for everyone involved, and we are grateful to have been able to participate.
Giveaways Galore
WOW Carwash had a booth available for people to stop by and visit at the event. What better way to welcome Guests to our booth than free prizes! We were excited to offer Guests the chance to win One Year of Free Washes at our express car wash! We had smaller prizes available too, like one free WOW Wash, t-shirts, towels, and air fresheners.
Everyone was buzzing with excitement at the chance to win the big grand prize. In the end, we had four winners of the Free WOW Washes for a Year.
Congratulations to our winners, and thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth! We hope to see everyone again next year.
